Tech Guardian is seeking a Team Lead Senior-Level Systems Engineer & Network Administrator to train our support team, build our bench strength, and be the final escalation point for lower-level engineers and technicians.  They will lead the support team and be integral to the company’s long-term strategy.  They will also support our clients by resolving complex issues beyond the skill of level 1 or 2 technicians.  They’ll plan and engineer high level projects for clients and maintain stringent security practices.  Although they work remotely, they will communicate directly to clients and end-users to troubleshoot problems and execute projects. Therefore, they must have exceptional customer service skills and act professionally. Here’s a closer look at what they’ll do:

•    Build a training library and help to overhaul the knowledgebase
•    Update Standard Operating Procedures for the helpdesk
•    Resolve escalated tickets
•    Oversee testing and maintenance of client backups and BDR compliance
•    Write scripts to add efficiency to the service department
•    Proactively design solutions for a better client experience
•    Implement & troubleshoot Microsoft server environments
•    Secure data networks using industry best practices
•    Design complex Group Policies
•    Design and setup TCP/IP networks including RDP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, and VPN
•    Implement and configure Active Directory
•    Build and configure IBM/Dell/HP server equipment
•    Setup and implement virtual environments using HyperV/VMware/Azure/AWS
•    Design, setup and implement Exchange 2010/2013/2016/2019/O365
•    Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers and firewalls
•    Install & setup equipment and application software
•    Assist helpdesk and field techs with overflow tickets
•    Troubleshoot and repair hardware
•    Plan, structure, and implement migrations and other projects while directing lower level techs
•    Fully document all procedures and tasks, and create documentation for lower level techs

•    Previous experience working for an MSP
•    Experience with PSA/Ticketing System and RMM tools
•    A service oriented attitude – do what it takes to get the job done correctly
•    Have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimum oversight
•    Be eager to learn, pick up new technologies, and be proficient in a short time
•    Working knowledge of a broad range of technologies

•    10+ Years IT Support
•    5+ Years Systems Engineering
•    3+ Years Network Admin
•    Degree in a related field preferred
•    MCITP, CISSP, MCASAE – (or similar certs)

•    Fully remote (USA only) with some travel, Hybrid, or HQ:  Lake Elsinore, CA
•    40 hours/week (we pay overtime!)
•    $29.08 – $47.76/hour (based on location, experience, and certifications) with a significant bonus structure

•    Typical Shift:  M-F PST Day Shift, with some evenings and occasional weekends (flexible hours or an alternative schedule may be considered)
